What is Vegistroke?

Vegistroke is what a one of a kind Straight Vegetable Oil supplemental fuel system developed by Dino FueI Alternatives specifically for the Ford PowerStroke Diesel. This patent pending* system is the first system of its kind on the market.

So, how is it different?  We'll get to that in a minute. First, we need to clarify that it still uses the conventional heating methods by utilizing engine coolant for the in-tank heated pickup and a custom frame mounted heat exchanger which is pictured to the above as the blue submarine looking device attached to the pump.

Now, as mentioned before, it is a supplemental fuel system that works in tandem with the factory system, not instead of the factory system. This is a completely stand alone second fuel system that feeds straight to the fuel rails in the head, with minimal interruption of the stock system, and is 100% self operational.

The FN74 Vegistroke system will start on diesel, switch to oil, and shut down on diesel without touching a switch. And it does this with no Switching Solenoids!  You might be surprised by the simplicity. Dino Fuel Alternatives simply uses differing fuel pressures to control switchover. This is oversimplified a bit, but in a nutshell whichever fuel has the higher pressure is what the engine runs on. The OEM fuel system is never removed from the loop. Dino Fuel Alternatives founder, Jason Crawford, was a Navy Electronics Technician with a heavy hand in turning wrenches. Shortly after buying his first Super Duty in May of 2004, Jason learned of Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) use on The Diesel Stop website, www.dieselstop.com,  a grass roots organization. Jason was not satisfied with all the difficulties of the currently available systems.  While mowing  the yard one day Jason explained "I was brainstorming and started developing what was to become known as the  Vegistroke Do-It-Yourself (DIY) system."

Even though Dino Fuel Alternatives sells the best kit available, VegiStroke's goal is to promote the benefits of Waste Vegetable Oil, helping those attempting their own install with parts and advice, all the way up to a complete full on vegetable oil conversions.
